Destined For Greatness

Image
Photo by ChurchArt Online on Pexels.com Destined For Greatness You are a radiant dawn, the breaking light, The guiding star that shines so ever bright Seize the day, make it count, Failure's not your final moment. You are the hope that fuels our spirits high, With boundless strength to reach for the sky. Success is yours if you believe it true, There is nothing at all you can’t do. You own the courage that conquers darkest fears, The strong inspiration that elevates and dries all the tears. Never surrender your dreams to doubt’s deep shade, Not let fear paralyze the progress you have made. Make no mistake, you are unique and bright. Let your internal essence shine both day and night Flourish and grow until you reach your peak. Blossom and thrive in the honest truths you speak. Reach for the stars while they are in your hand, And soar high above across this waiting land Venture forth and leave an indelible mark, As your talents are unfurled from the silent dark. The Mirror's Truth

Image
The Mirror's Truth I know I am not good enough, I do not need others telling me that. I know my flaws and shortcomings, I see them every day in the mirror. But I am also aware of my strengths, Of the things I am good at. I know that I can achieve great things, If I just believe in myself. So I will not let others' words Defeat me or make me feel worthless. I will not let them define me, Or tell me who I am. I am my own person, With my own unique journey to walk. I will not let anyone else Stand in my way. I will keep moving forward, Even when it is hard. I will keep believing in myself, Even when others don't. Because I know that I am good enough, Even if they don't. Etched Upon My Heart

Image
Etched Upon My Heart The world was wide and waiting The day you took your start, And every step you’ve taken since Is etched upon my heart. I’ve watched the boy of wonder Turn to a man of grace, With courage in your steady hands And kindness in your face. It isn’t just the things you’ve done, The trophies on the shelf, But the quiet way you choose to act When you are just yourself. Through every doubt and shadow, Through every climb and fall, You’ve found the strength to stand back up— The greatest feat of all. I look at you and see the best Of everything I know, And feel a pride so deep and vast It has no place to go. So keep your eyes upon the sun, Keep honest, brave, and true; There is no greater joy I own Than simply knowing you. More Works by Nancy Ann Creed https://books2read.com/u/m25Ygd

Part 1: Traveling to the Ron Clark Academy

Image
I will be writing a series of blog posts about my experiences at the Ron Clark Academy (RCA), documenting this transformative professional development journey. Part 1 Traveling to Atlanta This trip marks a significant personal milestone, as it is the first time I have traveled by air since before September 11, 2001. The experience felt somewhat surreal; even the airline check-in agents expressed surprise when they realized how long it had been since my last flight. Over the years, the rising cost of air travel had made it a luxury that simply wasn't a regular part of my life. Consequently, this journey served as my formal introduction to modern TSA procedures. Being unfamiliar with the current strict regulations regarding liquid sizes, I unfortunately had to surrender my lotion at security. Despite this minor setback, the overall travel experience was positive and smooth. I am fortunate to be traveling to the Ron Clark Academy thanks to a generous scholarship provide...

Navigating Emotional Pain in Relationships

Image
Navigating Emotional Pain in Relationships I built a bridge of patient, weary years, A silent span of quiet, chosen words, The mortar set with dried and vanished tears, A testament to battles, not rewards. My hands I offered, strong and open wide, To hold the weight of your erratic sphere, To stabilize the chaos you supplied, Yet only met a storm, a boundless fear. My effort was but dust upon the breeze, Against the wind of your profound unease. When your world tilts and loses all its grace, The guttural cry of "holy hell" defines The atmosphere of this abandoned place, No longer haven, but a field of mines. A sudden, unexpected fire starts, Consuming fragile things that stood its test, Leaving behind a jagged, broken heart. With cruelty, you push me to the crest, The edge of sanity, my failing might, Expecting me to hold while you ignite. I tried, desperately, to be the ground, The immovable foundation in the shake. I absorbed the shocks where steady peace...

The Unbreakable Covenant

Image
Photo by Pixabay on Pexels.com The Unbreakable Covenant We stand together, a multitude wide, Our inherent worth cannot be denied. We are the many, strong and profound, On worthy, undeniable ground. A powerful force, a presence complete, In every life's aspect, we cannot retreat. We are the bedrock, the muse, and the light, The mothers who nurture, the wives who unite. Companions and partners, the friends tried and true, The unwavering support, seeing the world through. Yet a flaw in our unity, a shadow we find, The support we give others, we leave behind. Hesitant to challenge, to push past the ease, To reach true potential that surely would please. And most painful of all, a failure to claim, The hard-won successes, and speak a sister's name. This must cease now, the passive days gone, We must seek out the moments, from dusk until dawn. To offer our praise, let our voices ring true, Each milestone a triumph, for me and for you. To consciously lift, giving momentum a...
